Malasadas
(Virginia DeLuz recipe)

Dissolve 2 pkg. dry yeast and 2 tsp sugar in 2/3 cup warm water.
10 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1-1/3 cups water
1-1/3 cups canned milk (tall Carnation can)
1 block melted butter (Mazola)
6 eggs, beaten at room temperature adding 1 tsp vanilla

Sift dry ingredients into large mixing pan.  Add milk and water.  Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture.
Knead well, making into a dough, sprinkling with flour as stickiness occurs.  Set asside and allow to rise 1-1/2 hours in pan.
Knead down and allow to rise another hour.
Knead down once again and spread dough on a lightly floured tablecloth.  Let dough rise until fluffy enough to cut into round or desired shape.  Deep fry in Wesson oil at medium heat until golden brown.
Yield  about 5 dozen.
